The project covers 22,739 m² and consists of 264 apartments, reaching up to 11 floors in a U-shaped block with a large central courtyard featuring a greenhouse, community room, and green recreational areas. The apartments are designed with balconies or terraces, and the construction will be DGNB Gold certified.

The apartment sizes are tailored to the housing demand in the area. Future residents can choose from apartments with two to five rooms, with a particular emphasis on smaller apartments ranging from 56 to 102 m², which are in high demand. The average apartment size will be 85 m², with units ranging from 56 m² to 137 m².

C.F. Møller’s Have is an eco-friendly residential project covering approximately 12,000 m² across 8 stories. The building consists of 156 apartments and a public parking basement spread across 2 levels. The apartments range from 1-4 rooms and are suitable for single occupancy, young couples, and seniors.

This eco-friendly residential building features the use of upcycled and less climate-damaging building materials, such as a:gain's Bronsø Thermo wood-facade cladding and funderø flooring. The upcycled materials emphasize C.F Møller's Have’s commitment to creating a greener living environment for its inhabitants.

Høje Taastrup's town hall has been built as part of a larger urban development project with a focus on the green transformation. The town hall rises up like a tower and a visible landmark in the middle of Høje Taastrup C’s new city park and is thus the focal point for the new green district. The town hall will be built eight floors high and in addition a roof terrace will be established. Four 'activity stairs' will be built around the tower, with space for play and recreational activities. The foundation for the municipality's new town hall is being built with recycled concrete. The facade of the building will be clad with our upcycled Bronsø Thermo Wood Cladding.

Høje Taastrup City Hall

Valhøj School accommodates children from ages 6 to 16 and has a sports profile. The existing campus is laid out on a generous site in the outskirts of Copenhagen. Due to a huge growth in student numbers in the coming years, the school requires extension through the addition of two new buildings and a re-think of the organization.
In good dialogue with architects from Matters, a:gain presented the possibility to use the a:gain Bronsø thermo treated cladding. Design possibilities, profile options and necessity and possibility of having fire treatment of the wood were talked through. And, in good process with contractor, Lund Tømrer, the additional information on installation was run through.
The result is beautiful.

Valhøj Skole

Augusthus / Woods is an office building and sustainable initiative that through its design creates opportunities for office leases in varying sizes, located near Copenhagen. It is a multifunctional building, that shapes the office facilities of the future. The facade cladding of the inner courtyard is our upcycled Bronsø Thermo Wood Cladding, in a paired down and fairly strict version visually. However, whilst the boards may be of similar lengths and widths, the pieces are fairly short, allowing us to repurpose offcuts from other production.

Trio Gulve

The 100 m2 wooden summerhouse has been built with a focus on direct re-use, on upcycling and on bio based products. It is built to be shared among two families, and with integrated outdoor sheds and a 50 m2 terasse facing West towards the great forest. It has been the intention to incorporate high quality craftmanship and working with Winther, which is a 6th generation family carpentry company, ensures just that.  The design and construction followed 5 dogmas: 1) climate friendly house with low emission materials and with minimal foundation, 2) a resource-efficient house in bio based materials, with direct re-usage and with industrially upcycled products, 3) a house for family sharing and m2 optimization, 4) a high quality craftmanship house and with a roof overhang and materials that are easy to maintain, and finally, 5) a house which fits to the surroundings. Building owners have had close dialogues with Ekovilla (paper wool insulation), with Hunton and Økonatur (bio based sub-roof construction and vapor barrier), with a:gain (Bronsø upcycled façade and terasse wood, Viddø upcycled glass façade and upcycled indoor cladding), with Greendozer (direct re-use beech parquet flooring and bathroom interior), with Velux (oven light and active steering), with Stykka (circular kitchen) and BioMason (bio cement tiles).

Unique wood features

The wood has a deep golden brown finish from heat treatment. This will turn a silvery grey with continued exposure to UV. The wood needs no further finishing once it has been thermo treated.

A:gain Bronsø is to be used as facade cladding wood. Bronsø is thermo-treated pine, which is delivered in mixed widths and lengths varying from 1,8 - 5,4 metres. Density is within the range of 390 - 430 kg/m3 at 5% humidity. The supplier must be able to show +5 project references with deliveries in scale, &gt; 250 m2. The wood value chain must have a digitally controlled process also to ensure a) that there are no dangerous substances, b) that the supplier ensures detectability of the raw material source, c) that the wood does not come from countries underlying embargo. The product is brought to the market and sold by a:gain. The product must have a CE marking. The product must have a third-party validated LCA and an EPD, which can be found at EPD Denmark homepage, within the end of 2024. The wood must be available for sales without fire protection, D-s2,d0, and with fire protection, B-s1, d0. There must be an updated installation manual and product maintenance&nbsp;manual live at the supplier website. Installation must be carried out by a professional contractor. For social sustainability reasons and local job creations related to the green(er) transition and to minimize transportation emissions, the wood must originate from the Scandinavian market and be processed in Denmark.

The supplier must be able to show +5 project references with deliveries in scale, &gt; 250 m2 to the professional built environment and with respect for the contractors often squeezed installation schemes and deadlines, and with a structured value-chain supporting the supplier delivery terms. The wood value chain must have a digitally controlled process also to ensure a) that there are no dangerous substances, b) that the supplier ensures detectability of the raw material source, c) that the wood does not come from countries underlying embargo. The product is brought to the market and sold by a:gain. The product must have a CE marking. Planks that would normally be discarded due to aesthetic imperfections are collected and carefully sorted for processing and reprofiling. 

The selected planks are reprofiled to ensure consistent lengths, widths, and profiles - creating a cladding product fully comparable to conventional alternatives. 

Bronsø is installed just like any other standard wooden facade cladding that carpenters are familiar with. The use of falling lengths during installation ensures minimal material waste.  

If a building is to be renovated or demolished, Bronsø is designed for easy disassembly and can seamlessly enter our take-back system for reprofiling and reuse.
