Bakkekvarteret in Vinge is a development project in which Ikano Bolig is exploring how future housing can be constructed with a significantly lower carbon footprint than conventional residential developments. As part of the Boligbyggeri fra 4 til 1 Planet initiative, supported by Realdania and Villum Fonden, the project serves as an important learning case for the future of low-carbon housing. Through conscious choices of construction methods, materials, and building principles, the project team is working towards reducing the building's carbon footprint to below 2.5 kg CO₂e/m²/year. As part of the project, a:gain supplied Bronsø for facades, terraces, and fencing. Bronsø has contributed to the project's climate ambitions through conscious material choices while helping shape the building's natural architectural expression.
