PROJECT INFORMATION

Residential new build in Hedehusene

Home.Earth Nærheden - housing that challenges the climate footprint of construction. At Nærheden in Hedehusene, Home.Earth has developed 158 homes with the ambition of demonstrating how far the climate footprint of multi-storey housing can be reduced without compromising on architecture, quality or affordability. The development is organised as three open perimeter blocks with green courtyards, shared facilities and a focus on biodiversity and community. A prefabricated timber system and a material palette including untreated pine and slate facades contribute to the project’s low climate footprint, estimated at 4.73 kg CO₂e/m²/year. As a small contribution to the project’s material choices, a:gain supplied Bronsø decking for one of the development’s balconies, bringing secondary wood resources into the new residential setting.
