PROJECT INFORMATION
Office renovation in Glostrup
Ikano Bolig – circular materials in its own office interior. Ikano Bolig has been developing homes in Denmark since 2017, with a focus on reducing the environmental and climate impact of the real estate business. After being introduced to Tystø at Building Green in Copenhagen, the company's sustainability department chose to bring the product and circular approach into the design of its own office in Glostrup. a:gain supplied Tystø partition walls, made from discarded timber and reused glass recovered from demolition. The partitions create transparent and flexible spaces within the open office environment while demonstrating how existing materials can be given a new life in contemporary interiors. Tystø was developed through a cross-industry collaboration between a:gain, DEKO and several demolition companies, with the aim of making industrial upcycling available at scale. The solution therefore serves both as a functional element in Ikano Bolig’s office and as a tangible examplenew building products made from secondary resources put into practice.
