PROJECT INFORMATION

Office new build in Copenhagen

Marmormolen Byggefelt D2 – a modern office development combining circular materials with flexible workplaces. Located in Nordhavn in Copenhagen, the project consists of two six-storey office buildings covering approximately 13,000 m², connected by a skybridge on the upper floor. The development is designed as a modern multi-tenant workplace for approximately 560 employees, with shared facilities including a meeting centre, canteen, lounge areas and terraces. Flexibility, well-being and sustainability have been central ambitions throughout the development. Through dialogue with PensionDanmark and PLH Architects, a:gain became involved in the project’s material selection with a focus on circular solutions. For the project, a:gain supplied 950 m² of Funderø Oak/Ash wood flooring and 500 m² of Dybø acoustic solutions, bringing reused resources into the contemporary office environment. The building is DGNB Gold- and DGNB Heart-certified and demonstrates how upcycled materials can be integrated into large-scale commercial developments.
