Coop Byen will become a new district in Albertslund. Here, PensionDanmark is developing 350 homes, a community centre, a parking garage, and a city park in what will be the first neighbourhood in Coop Byen. A varied and vibrant facade of aluminium stretch metal is being constructed, which various climbing plants will grow well on. Along with surplus wood and recycled natural slate tiles from the old Coop staff building that previously stood on the site. The four facades are varied to suit the areas they face. The new parking garage will have approximately 460 parking spaces spread over 13 staggered levels. The spaces will be available for both Coop employees and residents and guests of the area's new homes. In this way, the parking garage is utilized twice—housing employees' cars during the day and residents' cars after work hours. The parking garage will feature extra-wide ramps, allowing smooth traffic flow up and down.
