PROJECT INFORMATION

Office new build in Aarhus

Europaplads – a new office development with circular ambitions in the heart of Aarhus. The eight-storey office building has been developed with a focus on minimising resource consumption and creating a more regenerative workplace. The building combines natural stone, glass and aluminium and is designed as two distinctive volumes, Klippen and Skyen. Søren Jensen Consulting Engineers has been a key driving force behind the project’s sustainability ambitions and has fitted out its own headquarters on the third floor using, among other things, reused radiators and washbasins. In close collaboration with Søren Jensen and building owner Danica Ejendomme, a:gain has contributed secondary material solutions to the interior. Here, demolition glass from Nauticon, another of Danica Ejendomme’s buildings, has been combined with discarded wood in Tystø partition walls, while Hjælmø has been incorporated into the office interior. The building is DGNB Gold certified and demonstrates how reuse and secundary ressources can be integrated directly into a modern office development.
