PROJECT INFORMATION

Office, public & civic, hotel & hospitality and retail new build in Copenhagen

Woods Augusthus – a multifunctional building where work, everyday life and circular principles come together. Woods Augusthus in Copenhagen challenges the traditional office building by bringing offices, a hotel, restaurant, café and grocery store together under one roof. The building is designed with flexibility in mind and can adapt to different users and changing needs over time, while shared facilities and green spaces provide a setting for work, community and well-being. Circular principles are integrated into the project’s material choices, including the use of reused bricks and timber. For the facade of the inner courtyard, a:gain supplied Bronsø Thermowood cladding, where shorter timber pieces are actively used as part of the facade’s architectural expression. At the same time, this allows offcuts from other production to be utilised, keeping existing timber resources in circulation. Woods Augusthus is DGNB Gold-certified.
